I'm Jess - a pale girl in a pigmented world.

I've spent more than my fair share of time in the sun (starting with being pushed out into it as a child by well-meaning relatives who said I "just needed a little color"), in tanning booths, and slathering myself in self-tanners that make me look orange. One thing is clear: I'm meant to be fair-skinned.

I finally realized that, I need to stop trying to be tan just because it is idealized as the perfect skin tone. The fact is, porcelain skin is pretty, too. So let's stop suffering through sunburns and embrace our fair skin. Rock your porcelain!
